Art Libre celebrates its 80th Anniversary
On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the ASBL Art Libre is delighted to invite you to the vernissage, marking the opening of its exhibition featuring creations in ceramics, acrylic painting and silk painting.
Founded in 1946, Art Libre is the oldest participatory art association in Esch-sur-Alzette. For eight decades, the association has brought together art enthusiasts from all walks of life around a shared conviction: that art is a space for meeting, exchange and creativity, accessible to everyone.
This anniversary exhibition highlights the diversity of our artists’ talents and reflects the spirit of sharing that has inspired our association since its foundation.

Art Libre is the oldest arts association in Esch-sur-Alzette. Founded in 1946, it celebrated its 80th anniversary this year. Twice a week, the amateur artists of Art Libre get creative at their workshop in "Bâtiment 4" in Esch-sur-Alzette.
On Tuesday evenings, simple lumps of clay are transformed into beautiful ceramic sculptures and dishes. No matter if hand building or throwing on the potter's wheel, the Art Libre kilns transform every piece into art. On top of that, some members paint on silk, creating elegant scarves.
On Wednesday evenings, the potter's wheel keeps on turning and more ceramic sculptures are crafted by our savvy members.

Silk Painting
Silk Painting requires a steady hand and a lot of precision. However, the silk scarves that result from it are highly elegant and beautiful.
